6-3. Carbon Offsets and Biodiversity Credits

In conjunction with Synecoculture field certification, carbon offset and biodiversity assessments are possible within the scope of the provided data. Regarding carbon offsets specifically, in addition to evaluating the amount of carbon stored as a stock in the soil and biomass within the field, it is possible to assess the carbon flow represented by the reduction in carbon dioxide emissions achieved through no-till, no-fertilizer, and no-pesticide practices compared to conventional farming. Combining both aspects, Synecoculture can achieve a higher carbon offset effect than conserving natural forests [Funahashi 2025] .
